The wife and family of the late Sammy Bamber wish to express their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to all their friends, neighbours, work colleagues and extended family circle who supported them during their recent sad bereavement. For those who sent cards, messages, visited our home, provided food, attended his funeral and donated to the community services of Marie Curie N.I. and N.I. Hospice, your kindness is deeply appreciated and was a great comfort at such a difficult time. We are particularly grateful to Antrim Area Hospital, E.D. Minors, Patient Pathway Teams, Direct Assessment Unit, Northern Ireland Hospice and Marie Curie Community Services. We would particularly like to thanks Clinical Nurse specialist Amy Adams, N.I. Hospice nurses Leanne Devlin and Hilary Ferguson and Marie Curie nurse Samantha Shields for all their dedicated care and attention they gave to Sammy during his short illness. Thanks also to Dr Jonathon McKelvey and staff at Cullybackey Family Practice. Grateful thanks to Rev. Ronald James Watt, and also to Rev. Jeffrey Blue for his support to the family and for the beautiful service he conducted at home and in Killymurris Presbyterian Church. Thanks also to Iris Carlisle and her catering team for providing the refreshments following the service. Sincerest and deepest gratitude to James Henry Funeral Services for their kindness, compassion and professionalism shown to us during this most difficult time. Bamber Samuel (Sammy) 16th September 2024 peacefully at home, 36a Cloghwater Road, after a short illness. Devoted husband of Elizabeth (Liz), loving father of Corinna and Colin, father in law of Ryan and Susan, grandfather of Jamie, Cole, Ollie, Jake and Toby and brother of Billy, Geoffrey, Lorraine and the late Corena. After a private interment, a service of thanksgiving will be held in Killymurris Presbyterian Church on Thursday 19th inst. at 1pm.
