Shaw Claire (nee Blair) 7th September 2024, peacefully at Prospect Private Nursing Home, formerly of Old Galgorm Road, Ballymena.  Beloved wife of the late Tom, loving daughter of the late Thomas and Susan, much loved sister of Nan and Thomas and sister-in-law of Georgie and the late John (Caldwell).

Loving husband of Isabel, devoted dad of David and Catherine, father-in-law of Natasha and Kieran, doting granda of Ben, Lucy, Elijah, Chloe and Iris, son of the late Nancy and Ernest and caring brother of Anne and Lorna, brother-in-law of Michael (Johnston) and David (Parker). 

A popular local teacher and sportsman. 

Funeral service in St Patrick’s Parish Church Castle Street, Ballymena on Sunday 8th September at 3pm interment afterwards Ballyclug Parish Churchyard (Ballymarlow).

Rock Rodney 30th August 2024

ROCK – The wife and family of the late Rodney Rock wish to express their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to all their friends, family and neighbours who supported them during their recent sad bereavement.

To all those who sent cards, messages, visited his home, attended his funeral and donated to Marie Curie, your kindness is deeply appreciated and was a great comfort at such a difficult time.

We are particularly grateful to the Doctors and Staff at the NI Cancer Centre, City Hospital, Belfast, Karen Mulhern & her amazing team of District Nurses, Leanne Devlin, Community Hospice team and to Julie, Paula, Dawn and the rest of the Marie Curie team for all the dedicated care and attention they gave to Rodney during his illness.

Thanks also to Dr Mark Hall and staff at Braid Medical Practice, Ballymena.

Grateful thanks to Rev. David Ferguson for conducting the funeral service and to Barbara Douglas and her catering team for providing the tea following the service.

Foster Samuel (Sammy) 28th August 2024, peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital, after a short illness, late of 262 Doury Road, Ballymena BT43 6TU. 

Devoted husband of Angela, beloved father of Nial and Aaron, much loved father-in-law of Kathryn, loving grandfather of baby Samuel James and dear brother of Sandra, Mervyn, Linda and the late Marlene and Beatrice. 

After a private family interment, a Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Sammy will be held in Wellington Presbyterian Church on Sunday 1st September at 2.30pm. 

Family and friends are welcome to call at his late home on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st August from 2pm to 9pm.
